Join us for the book release party and signing for The Faeries’ Guide to Green Magick From the Garden. We'll have snacks from the book and a short talk about three plant allies and their soul energy that has been tapped into by every society on every continent throughout all of time.

May 21-24
Herbal Magick: Lore, Astrology and Deity class we will discuss how herbs have a soul energy that has been tapped into by every society on every continent throughout all of time. In each herb lives a sentient being that has intelligence as well as a story or lore that reveals as much about how the herb can be used as it does about the culture that created the herb’s mythos. Additionally most herbs have an association with astrological signs and Gods and Goddesses that augments the herb’s healing and magickal potential. In this class, we will delve into the mystery and practical applications of thirteen herbs and their lore as well as corresponding planetary and deity associations. By tapping into the herb’s pulsing life, we become part of the green magick that expands the positive energy and vitality of the earth itself, which in turn increases the health of all life.

Herbal Magick for Teens will show how to use herbs to help create a life of your choosing specifically for teen needs. We'll address topics such as apathy, self-esteem, release the trickster, or find peace as found in my book: The Teen Spell Book: Magick for Young Witches. This class will be a fun way to explore the relationship between the seasons, herbs, directions, colors, intention, totem animals, elemental energy, and symbols. You'll learn how to work with the magick to make our dreams come true. We'll meet the fae energy of the herbs and deepen our relationship with all things, particularly Mother Earth. In earth spirituality, nature is our teacher and our guide. Come play!!

In this delightful workshop author Jamie Wood and author/artist Lisa Steinke will discuss how deepening your connections with herbs, whether it's knowing their lore, historical uses or spending time with the fae energy residing in each plant, can positively impact the herb's healing potential. We will discuss three herbs: Mint, Lavender, and Damiana. Mint's lore begins with Menthe - the River Goddess of lamenting who had an affair with Hades and was then turned into the invigorating mint plant by Persephone. We will talk about how the biography of affects the biology of the plant and how knowing its story can improve your relationship and confidence to work with the herb. Lavender's unique healing properties reveal how ancient magickal practices actually coincide with modern day uses. Specifically, lavender was used as an herb of exorcism and to purify the sacred relics of The Church. Today we know it as an antiseptic and antibacterial agent that draws out poisons, calms a person, and purifies an environment. Damiana's historical use as an aphrodisiac will guide us on a visualization to integrate our sexuality as sacred rather than fragmented, hidden part of ourselves.

We will enjoy Lavender Chocolate Truffles from The Faerie's Guide to Green Magick from the Garden. This class will be open to comments and anecdotes from attendees as we want to expand everyone's trust in themselves as healers - for themselves and the planet. At the end of the class, The Faerie's Guide to Green Magick from the Garden will be available for purchase and signing.
